notes:
The '08 bottling is the 4th
vintage release of our modern refined dry white. In the glass, the
wine exhibits a green-tinged straw yellow color with a quiet bouquet
of quince, citrus and freshly-cut hay. Initially on the palate,
a slightly creamy textured feel to the wine complements hints of
apple and mandarin orange. Crisp, strong acids quickly step in to
support a finely filigreed texture as a layer of grapefruit and
fresh lime flavors lingers through a medium-long finish. The '08
furmint-driven vintage is marked by fruit purity and prominent minerality
from the Percze vineyard. As dry as the '08 Sec drinks, it contains
a higher residual sugar level than the '07 vintage. This wine will
pair wonderfully with all varieties of fish, seafood-based pasta
dishes and shellfish.

Reviews:
88 POINTS (WS) "Ripe and expressive, this white offers peach, pineapple and mineral flavors, matched to a supple texture. This is kept
focused by bright acidity, lingering on the finish. Drink now through 2012." - Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator Magazine
