notes: In our first expression
of a Tokaji Hárslevelű, we offer a special passérillage bottling made from
100% Hárslevelű shriveled berries. These rare berries were harvested on the 1st
of December, the last day of the 2006 harvest, from parcels directly below our
highest Lapis terrace. Undamaged by seasonal effects of the region's harsh winter
climate, the berries surprisingly showed complete shriveling while remaining unaffected
by botrytis cinerea. Tightly
focused with a crystalline surface, but also surprisingly nuanced with hints of
elder flowers and ripe quince, the '06 Hárslevelű is one of Királyudvar's most interesting
wines of the vintage. Production:

Reviews:
"A modern Tokaj that has taken the
region to another level. This shows exotic flavours of guava and
mango, but is held in check by its freshness and acidity." -
Tim Atkins MW, The Observer (Buy
Now, Drink Later Guide, January 2009)
"...this is quite gorgeous stuff, a fragrant
sweet white whose stonefruit / peachy flavours are beautifully offset
by spicy, ripe, multi-layered fruit character and fresh acidity."
- Anthony Rose, The Independent (London
Wine Trade Fair, May 2009)
