Our estate Demi-Sec is produced using 100% fully-ripened berries harvested from three renewed vineyard blocks within our Becsek field holdings. A true expression of Becsek's special volcanic terroir, this full-bodied white exemplifies the classical structure and liveliness consistently found in wines produced from the stone-strewn, concave-sloped field. when we first examined each of our vineyard holdings, Becsek quickly
stood out as a field that would require more attention with the
potential to reward us with a semi-dry offering thanks to a naturally
higher sugar level in the berries. Today, the results of our field
renewal program in Becsek are beginning to show in the consistency
and high quality of our recent '05 and '06 releases." -
