Situated at the eastern end
of the chain of hills in the Mád region, Királyudvar's vineyard
in Becsek provides all the berries for the company's Demi-Sec, a
semi-dry white wine. Beginning almost a decade ago in early '00,
Királyudvar's three primary blocks in the Becsek vineyard underwent
a carefully multi-staged renewal program. The positive results from
this extended renewal can be seen in the consistency and character
of each vintage Demi-Sec from this terroir.

The stone-strewn concave volcanic
slope of the Becsek field mixed with heavy yellow and red clays
generates a solid, classical structure and fuller body in the wine.
Warm southern exposures and the robust nature of the 30-year old
vines allow for a longer vegetative period enhancing the overall
character of the ripened berries.
